CHENEY — Vernon Adams threw for four touchdowns and Demitrius Bronson rushed for 118 yards and a score as Eastern Washington defeated North Dakota 55-17 on Saturday night.

Adams, in his third game as starting quarterback, was 12 of 15 for 151 yards for the Eagles (4-1, 3-0 Big Sky). Kyle Padron, the Southern Methodist transfer who started the season's first two contests, was 3 of 4 for 17 yards and a TD.

Braden Hanson was 16 of 22 for 141 yards for North Dakota (3-3, 1-2) in relief of starting QB Marcus Hendrickson.

After Hanson's 1-yard scoring run got North Dakota to 27-17, the Eagles broke the game open with consecutive TDs on Greg Herd's 25-yard catch from Adams just before halftime, and Ashton Clark's 12-yard run in the third quarter.

At Dixie State 29,

Central Washington 21

Dixie State scored the final three touchdowns to rally for a victory over Central Washington in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference game.

Dixie State (3-3, 3-2) trailed 21-10 in the third quarter and pulled to 21-16 on a 56-yard touchdown pass from Griff Robles to Matt Porrazzo.

A.J. Johnson gave Dixie a 22-21 lead on a 1-yard run and Robles added a 2-yard run with 1:39 remaining.

For Central (4-2, 4-1), Demetrius Sumler had a 33-yard TD reception and 22-yard touchdown run. Kevin Puckett returned an interception 100 yards for a score.

Pacific 62, at Puget Sound 21

A 38-point run between the second and third quarters lifted Pacific to a win over Puget Sound. The Loggers (0-5, 0-2 NWC) trailed by just three points going into the second quarter before the Boxers (2-3, 1-1 NWC) went on the run.

Puget Sound's Adam Kniffin had another 100-plus yard receiving game with 12 catches for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns. James Korn was 32-of-57 passing for 285 yards and three touchdowns.

Willamette 38, at Whitworth 24

Benny Weischedel caught a 42-yard pass from Josh Dean with 46 seconds left to assure Willamette (5-0, 1-0 NWC) a victory after the Pirates (5-1, 1-1) pulled to 31-24 with 1:47 remaining on Austin Ehlo's TD reception from Bryan Peterson in a matchup of unbeatens.

Pacific Lutheran 31,

at Lewis & Clark 14

Dalton Ritchey threw four touchdown passes to help the Lutes (2-2, 1-1 NWC) hand the Pioneers (4-1, 1-1) their first loss of the season.

Ritchey was 22 of 33 with one interception for 297 yards. Kyle Warner had 195 yards receiving on nine catches, including a 69-yard touchdown.
