Will free wi-fi at McDonald's hurt Starbucks?

First, the burger chain added sugary espresso drinks to its menu. In mid-January, it will offer free Internet access at 11,000 of its 14,000 U.S. locations, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Starbucks offers two hours a day of free Internet access for customers who use a registered Starbucks card at least once a month. AT&T DSL customers get free wi-fi, and there are other AT&T plans; everyone else pays $3.99 for two hours.
