A King County Superior Court judge issued a temporary injunction this week ordering Seattle-based Zillow and a top executive whom it hired from a rival real estate website to keep the new employee out of some key competitive business areas and to avoid using the latter company’s proprietary information.

Errol Samuelson, formerly the president of Move Inc., which operates realtor.com with the National Association of Realtors, was also ordered by Judge Barbara Linde to return all confidential information or trade secrets to Move. Samuelson was hired away by Zillow in March.

Zillow director of communications Katie Curnutte said the company doesn’t comment on ongoing litigation.
