The chief economist for Russell Investments, Mike Dueker, has been found dead at Tacoma.

TACOMA, Wash. —

The chief economist for Russell Investments, Mike Dueker, has been found dead in Tacoma.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says an officer found his body about 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the base of a 40- to 50-foot embankment for a Highway 16 ramp to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

A spokeswoman for Russell Investments in Seattle, Jennifer Tice, says colleagues are deeply saddened. Tice says Dueker was highly respected at Russell and the broader financial service industry.

The 50-year-old University Place man worked at the Seattle-based company for five years forecasting the business cycle.
