Patti Brooke was named vice president of government affairs and member programs at the Washington Technology Industry Association in Seattle.

Brooke previously served as principal consultant at Sound Thinkers, where she provided strategy, communication and product management consulting services for such clients as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Intellectual Ventures.

Accounting: Seth Gemar joined Jackson, Morgan & Hunt in Seattle as senior tax manager.

Banking: J. Denis Watts was named commercial appraisal review manager and vice president at Washington Federal, Seattle. Roger Hinshaw was named leader of the Pacific Northwest Group in Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Credit unions: John Zmolek was named president/CEO of Verity Credit Union, Seattle.

Foundations: Kristina Williams was named executive director of the Lake Washington Schools Foundation, Redmond.

Health care: Carolyn Barton was named chief compliance and ethics officer for Group Health, Seattle. Dr. Darla Klokeid-Foulston, Dr. Thomas Tai Chung, Dr. Margaret Forgette and Dr. David Tempest joined The Polyclinic, Seattle.

Insurance: Margi Tooth joined Trupanion in Seattle as vice president of digital marketing.

Law: Emily Yeh joined Helsell Fetterman, Seattle.

Nonprofit: Eu-wanda Eagans was named chief operating officer of Northwest Harvest, Seattle.

Public relations: Josh Chaitin was named senior vice president on the corporate and public affairs team at Edelman, Seattle.

Technology: Bret Larsen was appointed general manager of the Kirkland/Redmond market at Frontier Communications, Kirkland.

Tourism: Meagan McGuire was appointed business development manager at Seattle Southside Visitor Services, Seattle.
