The Seattle Department of Planning and Development has approved Amazon.com’s design for building a 38-story office tower and a five-story structure of three intersecting spheres on its block between 6th and 7th avenues and Blanchard and Lenora streets.
The company is applying for a building permit to begin construction on the buildings, which are the second phase of its three-block Denny Triangle office complex.
The second phase includes about 1.1 million square feet of office space and 16,000 square feet of retail, and could open in 2016.
