The Omak Wood Products plywood mill has reopened after being closed since 2009.
Wood Resources said it is operating the mill under a 25-year agreement with the owner, Colville Tribal Federal Corp., the business arm of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation.
The mill has 87 workers and could eventually employ 200, Wood Resources said. It will initially produce softwood veneer for Northwest markets and Douglas fir plywood.
Wood Resources, a unit of Connecticut-based Atlas Holdings, also operates the Olympic Panel Products plywood mill in Shelton.
