Dr. Fred Appelbaum was named executive vice president and deputy director of The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Appelbaum, who had been senior vice president and director of the Clinical Research Division at “The Hutch” the past two decades, will continue to conduct research while leading The Hutch’s strategic research partnerships.

Appelbaum joined the faculties at The Hutch and the University of Washington in 1978 after receiving his medical oncology fellowship training at the National Cancer Institute.

Accounting: Robb McEachran was named partner at Moss Adams, Seattle.

Banking: Alicia Peterson was named business sales officer at Wells Fargo, Seattle.

Construction: Nate Wilcox joined PSF Mechanical in Seattle as project executive. Rick Lindsay, Brent Slama, Greg Goebel, John Weber, Kyle Jung, John McKenna, Joshua Jackson and James Cromwell were hired at Mortenson Construction, Kirkland.

Consulting: Gilbert Wootton was appointed office managing director at Accenture, Seattle.

Design: Jim Collier was hired as graphic designer at WHPacific, Bothell.

Directories: Tom Donlea was hired as director of risk services at WhitePages, Seattle.

Food services: Rene Ficek was hired as nutrition expert at Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating, Seattle.

Law: Andrew Salter and Lisa Franklin joined Veris Law Group, Seattle. Dario Machleidt, Tyler McAllister and Patrick Njeim joined Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, Seattle.

Music: Brian Hirsh was named chief music officer, Abe Claiborne vice president of artist and labor relations and Geoff Walker chief marketing officer at Lively, Seattle.

Public radio: Ed Ronco was hired as “Morning Edition” producer at 88.5 KPLU, Seattle-Tacoma.

Senior living: Vicki McNealley was named corporate director of quality assurance at Village Concepts, Federal Way.

Technology: Brian Barry was appointed vice president of sales at Skytap, Seattle.

Title insurance: John Jones was promoted to senior underwriter at Stewart Title Guaranty Co., Seattle.

Tourism: Samantha Shaw was named group sales manager at Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, Lynnwood.
