On the Move: Ross Rogers named wealth-management leader at Union Bank

Ross Rogers was named regional managing director for wealth markets in the Pacific Northwest at Union Bank, Seattle.

Rogers will oversee wealth-management teams in Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue and Portland.

Rogers has more than 35 years in the financial-services industry. Before joining Union Bank, Rogers served as president and CEO of Comerica Securities and has held leadership positions at US Bancorp/Piper Jaffray and Shearson/Smith Barney.

Banking: Paula Brown was promoted to assistant manager of consumer loan operations at Washington Federal, Seattle. Tony Yee was named vice president of commercial banking at Union Bank, Seattle.

Consulting: Joel Oleson was hired as managing director at Salient6, Seattle.

Engineering: Kjell Stendal was hired as a marketing coordinator at Otak, Kirkland.

Financial services: Mark Palsson was named a vice president of investments at JHS Capital Advisors, Bellevue.

Health care: Dr. Joseph Gifford was named chief of strategic innovation for the Providence and Swedish affiliation, Seattle. Dr. Ellen Passloff, Dr. Rhonda Levitt and Dr. Eric Chrisinger joined The Polyclinic, Seattle.

Insurance: David Tan was appointed sales executive in the property and casualty group at Kibble & Prentice, a USI company, Seattle. Aran Buchan was named an account executive at Bothell-based Lovsted-Worthington.

Law: Michael Sherman joined Siderius Lonergan & Martin, Seattle.

Medical technology: Mitch Parrish was named chief operating officer at Physio-Control, Redmond.

Nonprofit: Russell Stepp was named to the Northwest Kidney Centers Foundation Board, Seattle. Brendan Kolding was re-elected chair of Amici, the Fulcrum Foundation’s young-professonals’ organization in Seattle.

Professional services: Douglas Sirotta was named a senior tax partner at Ernst & Young, Seattle. James Munn was named a manager for the national senior living health-care consulting group at CliftonLarsonAllen, Seattle.

Technology: Joshua Schmidt was promoted to vice president, chief information security officer at Vertafore, Bothell.
