BRAZIL'S BUMPER CROP: Forecasts for a strong soybean harvest from South America, led by Brazilian production, have also been weighing on prices.

ALL THAT GLITTERS: It was a bad day for metals, with gold, silver, copper, platinum and palladium all falling. Silver led the declines.
