Alaska names head of in-flight operations | On the Move
Notable hires and promotions
Ron Calvin was promoted to managing director of in-flight operations at Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, with responsibility for the carrier’s flight-attendant bases in Anchorage, Los Angeles, Portland and Seattle.
Calvin has worked at Alaska for 26 years, having held positions of increasing responsibility in the Customer Service-Airports division.
Most recently, as director of customer service for the Eastern region based in Washington, D.C., Calvin managed Alaska’s customer service and ground operations at 17 airports.
Accounting:Alicia Schmidt was named partner at CliftonLarsonAllen, Seattle.
Banking:Cynthia Hwang was named senior business banking relationship manager at Wells Fargo, Bellevue.
Business organizations: Michelle Hippler was named membership and programs manager for the Capitol Hill Chamber of Commerce, Seattle.
Consulting:Tom Dancs was promoted to senior director business process and systems architect at StratusG Consulting, Seattle.
Foundations:Bob Hurlbut was named director of The Ellison Foundation, Bellevue.
Health care:Dr. Manju Beier was named chief scientific officer at Natural Molecular Testing, Seattle.
Hospitality:Katie Knoll was appointed corporate director of sales at Columbia Hospitality, Seattle.
Hotels:Troy Longwith was named general manager at The Heathman Hotel, Kirkland.
Law:Heidi York joined Cairncross & Hempelmann, Seattle. David Linehan joined Stokes Lawrence, Seattle.
Marketing:Mirko Freguia joined the client services team at Lionfish, Redmond.
Mediation services:Lawrence Mills joined JAMS Seattle Resolution Center.
Nonprofits:Rick Downey was named planned giving director at Mercy Corps, Seattle.
Technology: Ed Belsheim was named senior vice president of corporate development at RealNetworks, Seattle. Jack Denault was appointed senior vice president of worldwide sales and services at Visible Technologies, Bellevue.
