Local unemployment rates fall
The unemployment rates in King, Snohomish and Pierce counties fell in October over the previous month.

Unemployment in King County fell to 6.5 percent in October, down from 6.9 percent the previous month, the state Department of Employment Security said Tuesday.
Last month’s jobless rate in Snohomish County was 7.1 percent, down from 7.6, and 8 percent in Pierce County, down from 8.3.
Statewide, the rate was 7.2 percent, down from 7.7 percent. The figures are not adjusted for seasonal variations.
