Oberto Brands, the Kent-based maker of Oh Boy, Oberto! jerky and other meat snacks, said Wednesday it will open a new factory in mid-2013 in Nashville, Tenn., eventually employing up to 310.
The company, which has made all its products in Kent since bringing its beef jerky production — and 300 jobs — back from Brazil in 2010, said the new plant responds to demand that “has doubled over the last few years.”
