An Ace Hardware store will open at the Securities Building in downtown Seattle in the first quarter of 2013, local operator The Myers Group said Tuesday.

The store will occupy 7,500 square feet of vacant office space on Fourth Avenue between Virginia and Stewart streets, near Bed, Bath & Beyond, and is expected to employ 15 people.

The Myers Group also operates the Kress IGA Supermarket near Third Avenue and Pike Street downtown.

The Securities Building is owned by Clise Properties.
