PENSION RAISES: The federal Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. says 18 percent of United Airlines retirees are owed bigger pensions.

HOW MUCH BIGGER? Not much. Less than 1 percent. The biggest raises are $33.68 per month on average for pilots, because their pensions were reduced the most. Flight attendants get a dime more per month.

WHAT'S NEXT: PBGC said it is reforming the way it evaluates pension assets, which is what led to the under-payments.
