McDonald's Corp. said a key sales figure came in flat in July, its worst performance in more than nine years. Revenue at restaurants open at least 13 months had grown every month since April 2003.

Here's a look at how the company's restaurants performed by region last month:

-United States - Down 0.1 percent

-Europe - Down 0.6 percent

-Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa - Down 1.5 percent

The overall performance was pulled even by sales in Latin America and Canada, which are not reported separately.
