The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has directed Westside Community Bank in University Place to raise capital through stock or an outright sale of the bank, according to a June 5 order the agency made public on Friday.
The bank, which had $113 million in assets as of March 31, is undercapitalized and two plans it submitted this year to replenish its capital were found unacceptable, according to the FDIC.
Calls to the bank's corporate offices on Monday were not returned. The bank's website says it also has a branch in Puyallup.
