Notable hires and promotions in the Seattle area.
Don Kowalchuk was promoted to vice president of operations at Skanska USA, Seattle.
Kowalchuk was hired by Skanska 21 years ago as a project engineer. In his new role his duties will include overseeing superintendent staff, supporting project relationships, project execution planning/oversight and self-perform management.
Kowalchuk has a Bachelor's degree in construction management from Washington State University.
Banking: Ryan Ross and Diana Meacham were named loan officers at 1st Security Bank, Mountlake Terrace.
Design: Chris Hamilton joined EHS Design, Seattle, as a principal.
Housing: Jamila Johnson of the Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt law firm in Seattle joined the board of the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance Action Fund, Seattle.
Law: Michelle Ulick Rosenthal and Ben Stone joined Veris Law Group, Seattle.
Organizations: Sabrina Mirante was named interim chief executive of the Renton Chamber of Commerce.
Real estate: Christine Wier joined Keller Williams Greater Seattle as a commercial broker.
Technology: Olly Downs was named senior vice president of data sciences at Globys, Seattle.
