Chris Hansen, the hedge-fund manager who wants to bring a basketball and hockey arena to Sodo, has bought more property in the neighborhood.

A corporation affiliated with Hansen paid $9.45 million for two properties totaling 0.73 acre just north of South Massachusetts Street between First and Occidental Avenues South, public records show.

The properties, now warehouses, are on the block north of Hansen's proposed arena site. Hansen has said he's considering building an entertainment complex on that block.

Hansen said in April that all the property for the arena itself was under sale contract or otherwise under his control.
