Michael Ricci was appointed chief executive of Discover Books, formerly Thrift Recycling Management, Seattle.
Ricci, a veteran of the technology and telecommunications industries, will oversee the book collection and online resell organization that diverts books from landfills and supports literacy efforts through donations of free reading materials.
Assisted Living: Michael Grisar was named senior vice president of operations at Aegis Living, Redmond.
Banking: Jeff Miller was hired as vice president and commercial relationship manager at Umpqua Bank's Seattle commercial banking center. Jim Angell joined Peoples Bank, Seattle, as a business services representative.
