Seattle-based American Seafoods Group has acquired Good Harbor Fillet, a Massachusetts fish processor and distributor, for an undisclosed sum, according to a report Wednesday in the Gloucester Times. Good Harbor was owned by Creo Capital Partners, which rescued the company from bankruptcy in 2006 with an $8 million investment.

American Seafoods Group could not be reached for comment. Through American Pride Seafoods, the conglomerate already owns a processing facility in New Bedford, Mass.

The Gloucester Times noted that Good Harbor Fillet uses an innovative protein coating that lowers fat in prepared and fried fish products.
