Maria Chavez Wilcox was named president of Childhaven in Seattle. She replaces longtime Childhaven President Debra Ronnholm, who is retiring from the nonprofit.
Chavez Wilcox worked for United Way of King County as senior campaign manager from 1982 to 1988 before becoming senior vice president at Valley of the Sun United Way in Phoenix.
From 1995 to 2010, Chavez Wilcox was president and chief executive of United Way of Orange County in Irvine, Calif.
Accounting: Mark Gibson was named managing partner at KPMG's Seattle office.
Architecture: Dan Rasmusson was named senior project architect and Theresa Van Ert marketing coordinator at Freiheit & Ho Architects, Kirkland.
Banking: Leo Clarke was named senior vice president and general counsel at Washington Federal's corporate headquarters in Seattle. Jeff Lewis was hired by KeyBank as area retail leader in its Seattle Cascades District.
Engineering: Tom Horkan joined HDR Engineering in Seattle as a vice president and deputy manager of the Highway 520 bridge- replacement project and HOV general engineering consultant contract team.
Financial research: Matt Bell was appointed chief operating officer at PitchBook, Seattle.
Investing: Dustin Brumbaugh joined E.K. Riley Investments in Seattle as senior vice president, director of research.
