Zumiez's March same-store sales climb 8.9 percent
Everett-based retailer Zumiez said Wednesday its sales at stores open more than a year rose 8. 9 percent in March from a year ago.
Everett-based retailer Zumiez said Wednesday its sales at stores open more than a year rose 8.9 percent in March from a year ago. March 2010 had been strong, too, with a same-store sales increase of 13.2 percent.
Zumiez said its total monthly sales climbed 15.1 percent to $41.2 million, compared with $35.8 million in March 2010.
Zumiez operates 404 stores aimed at skateboarding and snowboarding enthusiasts between the ages of 12 and 24. Shares of its stock closed up 7 cents Wednesday at $27.50.
