Seattle area

Biotechnology: Dr. Flemming Ornskov was named president and chief executive at Ikaria.

Car sharing: Jean-Jacques Millard was named vice president and chief financial officer at Flexcar.

Consulting: Mary Marino was promoted to managing director of the Seattle and Portland offices and Ray Lewandowski became the business-development manager in the Seattle market for Jefferson Wells.

Development: Scott Herrmann was hired as a senior real-estate manager at Opus. Ross Woods was appointed president of Longitude 122.

Health care: Kenneth Hamm was promoted to president and chief executive at First Choice Health. Diane Cecchettini was named chairwoman of the Washington State Hospital Association board of trustees.

Insurance: Arthur Chong was named executive vice president and general counsel at Safeco. Maureen Amant was named Seattle branch manager at ACE USA.

Law: Candice Kim was named an associate at Miller Nash. Katherine Baker joined Lane Powell as an associate. Christopher Napier, Kelly Angell, Rosa Fruehling-Watson, Mark Leen and C. Ryan Russell joined Foster Pepper & Shefelman.

Radio/TV: Melissa Forrest was promoted to vice president and general manager at KMTT-FM. Lisa Gangel was hired as a sports reporter at KING 5.

Software: Shelly Dillon was hired as manager of technical communications and Scott Matson as enterprise manager at Quardev.

Eastside

Banking: Milton Douglas was named senior vice president and manager at Frontier Bank's new branch that will open in Bellevue and will be joined by bankers Chuck Brockway Jr., Ronald Jackman, Cheryl Gunderson, Alan Parsons and Theresa Sykes.

Consulting: Grant Bailey was hired as a senior environmental consultant and Matt Benson as a senior engineering geophysicist at Golder Associates, Redmond.

Engineering: Ken Oswell and Victor Salemann were promoted to senior transportation engineers at David Evans and Associates, Bellevue.

Commercial real estate: Tyler Jones was promoted to senior associate at Leibsohn & Co., Bellevue.

Software: David Burks was named vice president of sales and general manager for the Asia Pacific region at Vallent, Bellevue.

Technology: Claire Murchie was named vice president of services delivery and Tom Haug vice president of engineering at Azaleos, Redmond. Kieve Huffman was appointed vice president of content and Alan Welsman vice president of European product management and marketing at InfoSpace, Bellevue.
