Seahawks rout Broncos, 43-8, to win first world championship

The Seattle Seahawks won their first Super Bowl in franchise history with a 43-8 victory over the Broncos at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Feb. 2. Seattle was lifted by a relentless defense that forced four turnovers and some big plays, including an 87-yard kickoff return by Percy Harvin.
