Feeling the Weight | The emotional battle to control kids' diet
Children face a daily barrage of food temptations, and struggle to eat right. Parents, meanwhile, fight habit, doubt, fear and guilt. How do you get your children to eat healthier? A pediatrician from Seattle Children's Hospital and a Registered Dietitian took your questions on Monday, June 13, about ways you can help your kids make healthy choices. Read the chat rewind below.

Becky Hellerstein, Registered Dietician
Becky Hellerstein is a Registered Dietitian specializing in childhood obesity and pediatric weight management. She has implemented and developed weight management and wellness programs for schools and organizations throughout the country, taught children's cooking classes and worked one-on-one with families and children in her private practice Focused Energy, LLC. Becky graduated with honors from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in nutrition and psychology and completed her dietetic internship at Bastyr University. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association and is certified by the ADA in both Childhood & Adolescent Weight Management and Adult Weight Management.
H. Mollie Greves Grow, UW Assistant Professor
H. Mollie Greves Grow, MD MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Pediatrics at the University of Washington. Dr. Grow completed her residency at Seattle Children's Hospital and a General Pediatrics fellowship with the National Research Service Award (NRSA) at UW in 2008. Her research mission is to contribute to effective programs and policies to promote child wellness and prevent pediatric obesity. Her particular focus is serving disadvantaged children through community-based, collaborative partnerships. Grow's clinical work involves attending at Harborview Medical Center outpatient and inpatient pediatric services. She also sees patients on the general pediatric inpatient service at Seattle Children's.
