How to navigate the nine-day viaduct closure
The Alaskan Way Viaduct will close from 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, until 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31.
Seattle Times transportation reporter Mike Lindblom, a West Seattle resident who has covered the story of the viaduct for nine years, gives his insight and tips in this guide on how to get around the closure -- by car, bus, bicycle and water.
