A home of your own

Despite skyrocketing real estate prices, home ownership increased slightly in King County during the last decade - 66.4 percent of homes in the county are owned by their occupants, compared to 65 percent in 1990. That is nearly identical to the home ownership rates for the state and the U.S. In Seattle, the percentage of home ownership dipped slightly.
