‘Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade’

Kick off your Turkey Day with the 86th annual parade of floats, marching bands and giant balloons (and maybe a visitor from the North Pole), all from the streets of New York City. Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker are hosts. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Trace Adkins, Colbie Caillat, Flo Rida, Whoopi Goldberg and Chris Isaak are scheduled to appear. 9 a.m. Thursday on NBC.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” 8 p.m. (ABC): The Peanuts gang gathers around Charlie’s pingpong table for an unusual feast; a bonus cartoon is “This Is America, Charlie Brown: The Mayflower Voyagers.”

Pieces of April” (2003), 9 p.m. (NBC): Chaos reigns when a young woman invites her estranged family to her apartment for the first Thanksgiving dinner she has ever cooked.

“Vera,” 9 p.m. (KCTS): Vera rescues a boy from a freezing pond after he escapes from a violent attack during which his mother was killed.

“Glee,” 9 p.m. (Fox): Feelings between Marley, Jake and Ryder escalate; Blaine encounters the Warblers.

“Please Don’t East the Daisies” (1960), 9:45 p.m. (TCM): A New York drama critic moves his wife and four boys to an old mansion in the country.

“House Hunters International,” 10:30 p.m. (HGTV): A couple searches for a vacation home in Playa del Carmen.
