Research quest takes WSU biologist up oak tree

Michael Knoblauch, a plant-cell biologist at Washington State University, uses a lift to study leaves of an oak in Petersham, Mass. Using tiny needles he developed to measure pressure in cells, Knoblauch is hoping for new knowledge about how plants function.
