With heart and determination, horses run for our money

Jockey Anne Sanguinetti rides to an easy victory on Forte Feroce, trained by Jeff Metz, in a 4½-furlong race for 2-year-olds June 15. (A furlong is 1/8 of a mile.) This was Sanguinetti’s first race after being sidelined for three weeks with an ankle injury sustained during an accident. Reflective Glory, her horse in that race, was euthanized.
