Lowest tides of the month on Saturday, Sunday reveal Sound’s wonders, including the wily moon snail

Evey McIntyre, 5, and her grandparents Sandy and Gail Sandoval check out a giant moon snail pointed out at low tide at Des Moines Beach Park by naturalists from the Seattle Aquarium. Moon snails are carnivorous and drill nice, neat holes into the shells of clams for their meal.
