Solar plane to soak up sun in round-the-world flight

The experimental aircraft Solar Impulse 2 is unveiled Wednesday in Switzerland. In 2015, it’s due to make the first round-the-world solar flight, day and night, without any fuel. The plane is about the weight of a family car but its wingspan is longer than that of a Boeing 747.
