Moses Coulee: Dramatic tales of the land and its people

Cattle rancher Dave Billingsley pushes tumbleweeds away from one of his corrals, which sit on the Moses Coulee floor, surrounded on three sides by 700-foot basalt cliffs. Some periods in the ranch’s 85-year history have been a struggle, he says. But the unique setting “grows on you,” he adds. “There’s nothing quite like it.”
