Moses Coulee: Dramatic tales of the land and its people

Once accessed only by foot, horseback and stagecoach line, Moses Coulee is now easily toured by car via Palisades Road, which climbs gently between the 600-to-800-foot coulee walls to the town of Palisades, below the Three Devils Grade. Artifacts of native settlements in the area have been found nearby in Chief Moses Council Cave, at the base of a coulee wall.
