The cast of the children’s opera “Brundibár” in the Terezin concentration camp. Ela Stein Weissberger, playing a cat, is dressed in black in the front row. The opera was performed 55 times, starting in 1942. The Nazis recorded the show as propaganda to claim that the prisoners were well-treated.
