Pro-animal groups appeal to pope over dove attack

A dove, freed by children and Pope Francis, is attacked by a crow in St. Peter's Square, at the Vatican, Sunday. Two white doves were sent fluttering into the air as a peace gesture by Italian children flanking the pope at an open studio window of the Apostolic Palace, but a seagull and crow quickly attacked. The doves' fate was not known.
