Mercer Island home has room for two families and a future

Jane Reynolds works in the large and ever-functional kitchen. The counters are made from crushed beer and wine bottles. Concrete floors are kid and cat friendly. The blackened-steel wall holding the pay phone, kitchen backsplash, railings and other metal pieces were crafted by Michael Northrup.
