Short bridges vs. tall trucks: how quickly DOT forgets

GOING DOWN: The Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River in Mount Vernon collapsed in May after being struck by a semi hauling an oversized load. A permanent span opened in September. Now is a good time to get in on that office pool predicting the time and place of the next splashdown.
