Dial-a-Carol a holiday tradition at U of Illinois

In this Dec. 12, 2013 photo provided by the University of Illinois, students Pauline Chitamdo, left, and Patti Grzyb sing to callers as part of the hall's annual Dial-A-Carol program in Champaign, Ill. The student-run project is a hotline of sorts for people who prefer their holiday carols sung live by amateurs. The program was started in 1960, and last year, the student volunteers took more than 4,000 calls.
