This land is your land: Woody Guthrie’s America

A statue of the folk singer Woody Guthrie is near the Grand Coulee Dam in Eastern Washington. When Guthrie was hired for a month by the government to document the public works projects in the Columbia River valley, they got 26 songs, many still famous today, and he came away with an abiding admiration for the Pacific Northwest.
