Rudolph’s last stand: Where have all the reindeer gone?

On July 10, 2008, five caribou were on or near Highway 3 near Stagleap Provincial Park in southeastern British Columbia. These two are woodland caribou, part of the South Selkirk herd. Caribou reproduce at a rate much lower than their relatives, deer, moose and elk.
