Study: Nuclear force feeling 'burnout' from work

This April 15, 1997, file photo shows an Air Force missile crew commander standing at the door of his launch capsule 100 feet under ground, where he and his partner are responsible for 10 nuclear-armed ICBMs, in north-central Colorado. Trouble inside the Air Force's nuclear missile force runs deeper and wider than officials have let on. An unpublished study for the Air Force obtained by The Associated Press cites "burnout" among launch officers with their finger on the trigger of 450 weapons of mass destruction.
