Sinkhole is 25 acres and growing, swallows forest and swamp

The sinkhole in Bayou Corne, La., has grown to about 25 acres since it first appeared Aug. 3, 2012, splitting the hamlet of about 300 residents into two camps: the hopeful, who stay, and the despairing, who have mostly fled.
