Oysters dying as coast is hit hard by ocean acidification

A Goose Point Oyster Co. employee harvests fresh oysters for the Nisbet family's shellfish operation in Willapa Bay. The Nisbets struggled to make ends meet in recent years as ocean acidification wiped out oyster reproduction in the bay. Oysters started dying by the billions along the Northwest coast in 2005, and have been struggling ever since.
