Last dance: History can’t save Seattle’s Avalon Ballroom

People take dancing lessons from the Washington Dance Club at the Avalon Ballroom near downtown Seattle. Dance students Johan Spieker, of Burien, dances with Karen Lee, of Bothell, at center. A farewell dance at the Avalon is Saturday; the dance club will be moving to Lynnwood.
