A whale of a trail on Kauai

A paved oceanfront walking and biking path on Kauai draws bicyclists and walkers, including mothers on a weekly group stroll. Called Ke Ala Hele Makalae (which means “the path that goes by the coast” in Hawaiian), it’s being extended along the island’s east coast.
