Seattle's little freighter that could, ca. 1901

THEN: Snapped from the Fire Station No. 5 tower in late 1901 (or early 1902), this photo nicely displays the then-new Northern Pacific Piers facing a widened Railroad Avenue (Alaskan Way) north of Madison Street.
