Landscape designer Terry Welch takes his Zen vision to Vashon

The rugged plunge pool looks like a piece of the Cascade Mountains transplanted to Vashon Island. In reality, it's a nonchlorinated, sun-heated, saltwater swim pool that forms the centerpiece of the garden.
