As gun laws debated, state Capitol welcomes firearms

Rep. Christopher Hurst, D-Enumclaw, a retired police detective who spent 25 years in law enforcement, says he sometimes has carried a concealed weapon on the floor of the House when “there were debates that were going to bring out people with such passions that there was enough of a concern.”
